installer change

the installer now has another section that allows you to choose if you want the livejournal client to startup with windows or not.

it does it in a friendly manner, by just putting a link to the livejournal program into the Startup group of Start->Programs. This was chosen over registry keys for several reasons, most of which are personal preference.

this will be present in the next official release of LiveJournal.

new feature

added a "make list" feature. ctrl-T is the shortcut. it is meant to be used in the following manner:
  • type in your text, with each item of the list being a new line
  • hilight the list
  • hit ctrl-t

right now, it does have a little "peculiar" behavior in that it will make a bullet item of a blank line if that line is in the list somewhere. i couldn't get it to stop doing it though, so for now, ill leave it.

if you hit ctrl-t without anything selected, it will make a one bullet list for you and let you enter the text. this is NOT the way you should go about using it. the way detailed first should be used instead.

this feature makes an unordered list ONLY. and it includes the optional end tag for each list element (</li> is optional)..

bug fix

la de da. LONG standing bug that i didnt pick up on till now.

make link had a bug in its digit check. it is fixed now.

also, i killed brad's end of line whitespace checks and instead played nice and used builtin functions (and increased the neatness by trimming both the front and back).

all good now.

tab order fixed and make link changed

tab order was out of whack in a few dialogs due to additions... so i fixed that.

i also changed how make link was working to make it a little smarter. this also included flipping the height and width fields. in the process, i think i have found a bug in MFC regarding SetFocus() and SetSel(). Oh well though... I kinda worked around it using EnableWindow(FALSE)

btw, ALL beta builds are FULL version builds, so please do keep that in mind. if you try using it and do not have the wspell ocx file then it will break.

enjoy.
